Kendra fell hard and fast for smart software solutions while working in the registrar’s office at Northwestern University. A misunderstood and under-utilized algorithm transformed her day job when she worked it as designed, freeing her up to do mountains of more exciting work. She stepped into implementation which has forever inclined her ear towards the voice of the customer and then quickly dove into the engineering technicalities supporting the products she managed. With a decade of experience managing products in ed-tech and finance-tech, she jumped over into the expansive world of commercial IoT and established a shared services framework across the hardware, network and software solutions with strategic plans for ongoing innovation. She was then invited to join a health-tech startup working to disrupt communication patterns with patients with substance use disorder, leading the technology team as the Head of Technology Innovation. That was a wild ride with new vocabularies, user personas and buyers that marked her passion for scale, purpose, and human-centric design. At the center of every technology solution are humans trying to solve a problem. Kendra is one of those humans and will point her clients back to the solution, the possibility and the gains for humanity in every interaction.
